Course Description:

In today's busy classrooms, teachers need efficient ways to cover multiple subjects without sacrificing depth or engagement. K5 Connecting Math & Literature in the K-5 Classroom by 3R Teacher Training offers a fresh approach, helping teachers seamlessly blend literacy skills with math instruction. This course provides practical, ready-to-use strategies for bringing reading, writing, and math together in an engaging, meaningful way.

Participants will learn a variety of integration techniques, from interactive read-alouds that complement math skills, like sequencing and multiplication arrays, to project-based learning that connects math concepts with literacy tasks. Teachers will discover ways to use graphic organizers, math journals, and creative writing prompts to reinforce both math understanding and literacy skills.

Through hands-on activities, educators will explore methods like using reader’s theater scripts with math themes, creating math vocabulary word walls, and designing math centers where students craft games and write instructions.
